After Effect Flip Card

One day, I saw an effect about flipping cards. It is like an old-fashioned Train Schedule Board. It is good digital effects that are translated from physical experiences. So, let’s start.
- Create a composition ->size W:80 H:120 ->name “top”
2.Add a “text” size 100px and align center.
4. Add a “Shape Layer” and draw a “rectangle” top half
5. Add a New mask on “text”, same as cover it top half
6. Duplicate “top” composition and name it as “bottom”
7.Select the ”text” in “bottom” composition and “Flip vertical”
8. Move the mask to half top
9.Now create a new composition “Flip”, add ”top” and “bottom” inside it.
10. Make bottom layer to “3D” (a cube icon), You can see it could rotate XYZ
11. Set ”X rotation” 0 degree at 30 frame and 180 degree at 50 frame.
It will look like this
12. Add “X rotation” 200 degree for two frames, one is in front of 180 degree, the other is behind. Also one more 180 degree for last point.
Now, It should be like this.
13. I also change opacity 0% and 100%
14. Add a background for bottom part of card, and put fix button. And We done.
15. So If you want to make for different letter, duplicate this three composition “letter, top, bottom” and put it into a folder. Just change the “text” layer in “top“ and “bottom” composition.
16. Make your new composition and spell your word inside it.
